How does client sync work between Nightingale and MYOB?

There are now two options for the MYOB client sync, these include Single Contact and Multiple Contact sync. The single client sync will sync one contact if the client has one or the client themselves and save the MYOB Id against the client.
The multiple contact sync will transfer all contacts that exist on the client and save the MYOB Id against the contact that was transferred.

Results for the sync will appear at the bottom of the MYOB Settings page.

To change syncing options you will need to login to MYOB from Nightingale first by heading to Organisation Settings → Finance tab → MYOB Settings. Once logged in you will see the below options

If you have not selected an option previously, no option will be selected but it will default to the single contact sync. To change syncing options, select the option you want and press the Save Settings button. This will not change clients or contacts that have already been synced unless you check the “Update” check box before syncing again.

If you change from Single Contact sync to Multiple Contact check that box to sync the contacts of the clients that have already been synced.

It should be noted that a limit of one of each payer should exist on each client, for example, one plan manager, one self manager. If a client has a Personal and Global Contact plan manager both will be transferred across to MYOB unless they have the exact same name.

If your contacts already exist in MYOB and you want to match them between Nightingale and MYOB they must have the exact same name. It is important to also check if the contact in MYOB is set to be a Company or Individual as they name match differently. If your contact in MYOB is set to be a Company, then when creating your Global or Personal Contact in Nightingale you should select the checkbox for Is MYOB Company that exists on the Add/Edit Contact pages. Checking the below checkbox if your contact is a Company and ensuring the names match between the systems will ensure the Contacts are mapped between Nightingale and MYOB.
